Porsche 924
The
Lodge Sports Porsche 924
Championship organised
by the Porsche Racing
Drivers Association has
been running for over 16
years and is a popular
series for both novice
and experienced
drivers. The
Championship is hosted
by the British Racing &
Sports Car Club, which
has been organising
motor races since 1964.
Today, with over 50
meetings and 25
individual championships
under the BRSCC umbrella
annually, the Club has
something in its
portfolio to suit every
motorsport competitor &
fan.
The
cars are dedicated
racing cars, with
stripped-out full race
interior and lightweight
body panels making them
completely different
from their road-going
cousins. The engines are
2.0 litre naturally
aspirated four cylinder
engines producing around
140bhp. All cars run
the uprated suspension
supplied by Leda or Gaz
Shocks and Toyo Proxes
R888 control tyres that
help to level the
playing field leaving
the emphasis on the
skill of the driver, not
on the size of the
budget. Highly
competitive it may be,
but there is a real
camaraderie amongst the
drivers which is helped
by the Lodge Sports
paddock hospitality
facility at each event.
